Key Ingredients:

1

Dissolve sugar in warm milk. Then whisk dry ingredients together, and add in the butter, egg, and milk.

2

Beat the dough mixture for 5 minutes to form a ball.

3

Gently knead the dough on a floured surface to get it soft and pliable.

4

Roll the dough out into a large rectangle, about ¼” thick.

5

Use your fingers to work the orange zest into a bowl of sugar.

6

Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.

7

Spread your dough rectangle with softened butter, and sprinkle the sugar mixture generously over the top.

8

Roll the dough up into a tight log. Cut the logs into 12 even-sized rolls.

9

Arrange the rolls inside a baking pan, cover with plastic wrap, and place them in a warm spot to rise.

10

Once they have doubled in size, bake the orange rolls for 20-24 minutes.

11

Remove from oven and let cool about 10 minutes in the pan before you frost them.

12

Beat softened cream cheese with melted butter, orange juice, zest, vanilla, and powdered sugar.

13

While they’re still a bit warm, spread the orange frosting generously over the pan of orange rolls.

14

Serve warm, and enjoy!
