Unsalted Butter Granulated Sugar Milk Baking Soda Vanilla Extract Egg All-Purpose Flour

Beat butter and sugar until creamy, then dissolve baking soda in milk in a small glass dish.

Mix the baking soda/milk, vanilla, egg, salt, and flour into the butter until a stiff dough forms.

Form 3 softball size balls of dough. Flatten and wrap tightly in plastic wrap then let chill.

Roll dough to ¼” thickness. Then cut shapes with a cookie cutter, and transfer to a lined baking sheet.

Bake at 350° for 8-12 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorate as desired. Then serve and enjoy!
