About Beyond Frosting

Beyond Frosting started back in 2012 as a creative outlet and slowly grew into what it is today. It’s a place for bakers who love bakery-style desserts but don’t want anything overly complicated. My focus has always been on recipes that are simple, reliable, and full of flavor.

After taking cake decorating classes, I quickly realized that I enjoyed the baking and frosting part much more than working with fondant. So you won’t find much fondant around here. Instead, you’ll find desserts that feel approachable and are easy to feel proud of sharing.

In 2016, I published my cookbook No-Bake Treats, which features 80 desserts ranging from cheesecakes to icebox cakes. The book debuted on QVC’s In the Kitchen with David and sold more than 4,000 copies in just minutes, a moment I still can’t believe happened.
Over the years, millions of home bakers have visited Beyond Frosting. Many first found the site through my cold-butter Vanilla Buttercream technique, which has since inspired countless frosting variations and reader favorites.

Beyond Frosting has also partnered with companies like Wilton, Bob’s Red Mill, Rodelle, Krusteaz, and the American Dairy Association on recipe development, photography, and national campaigns. Behind the scenes, it’s a small, family-focused business supported by a remote team that helps keep everything running smoothly and up to the standards readers expect.
